Sépaq’s network of National Parks, wildlife reserves and tourist resorts make up 80,000 Kms2 of Québec’s most outstanding landscapes, preserved areas and outdoor playgrounds. Sépaq’s network means that the outdoors is within close reach of Montreal - and perfect for Winter adventure.

Sépaq operates 7 major cross-country ski centres that between them represent close to 450 km of mechanically groomed and marked trails. They offer trails suitable for all levels : beginners, intermediate or experts. You can enjoy very short to very long trails that are everything from 30 minutes to many hours of challenging skiing. Long trails also have heated shelters along their itinerary. Cross Country Ski Centres are found at:
  • Mont-Mégantic national park (Eastern Townships)
  • Mont-Orford national park (Eastern Townships)
  • Mont-Saint-Bruno national park (suburban south shore of Montreal)
  • Mont-Tremblant national park (Laurentians)
  • Oka national park (suburban north shore of Montreal)
  • Camp Mercier in the Laurentides wildlife reserve (40 minutes north of Quebec City and offering lots of snow)
  • Station touristique Duchesnay (suburban Quebec City).
New this winter are 20 Nature Cabins in four National Parks. A quiet, relaxing and natural wilderness experience – some Nature Cabins are only accessible by foot. But it is only a short distance to your comfortable cabin with hot water, heating, kitchen, bathroom and propane fireplace. There is one main bedroom and an open mezzanine floor with twin beds. This unique and creative design is perfect for couples and small families.

Duchesnay - in the heart of Gaspésie national park with the highest mountains in Quebec, 2 h 30 from Montreal, 20 minutes from Quebec City. It’s known for hospitality, fine local cuisine, and unique décor and offers 50 km of ski trails, snowshoeing, snow tubing, ice fishing, skating, dogsledding, snowmobiling and much more, all on one site. The beautifully decorated rooms all have lake and mountain view in the Auberge section. There is a wide variety of packages with or without meals starting at $67 per night per person.

Gîte du Mont-Albert – a culinary landmark in the Gaspé. Chartered bus transportation is available for a 3 night stay between Friday and returning Monday. Activities include cross-country skiing, back country skiing and snowshoeing. Packages start at around $100 per night per person including meals and access to activities.

Auberge de montagne des Chic-Chocs - nestled on a mountain cliff at an altitude of 600 meters this is a unique concept in eastern America but mirrors accommodations found in Western Canada. The resort was voted one of the world’s top resorts by the Guardian newspaper in the UK. It offers an unbelievable level of comfort and gastronomy and at the same time is totally isolated from the rest of the world – it is accessible only by tracked vehicle. Activities include alpine touring, meta ski, split boarding or more traditional activities such as snowshoeing. All equipment is supplied during your stay. Price start around $250 per night per person all inclusive except alcohol.

Sépaq Trip Showcase


Stay in an affordable Nature Cabin – a cozy, laid back, unique and creative design adapted for couples and today’s smaller families. Nature cabins are found in the heart of the parks services and activities - such as ski trails, snowshoeing trails, beaches, bike trails, etc.

Cabins are fully equipped and sleep up to 4 people with one closed bedroom with a double bed and opened bedroom with twin beds on the mezzanine. Rest assured that even though you are enjoying a natural setting you still have a bathroom, hot and cold running water, a stove, refrigerator, microwave oven, dining table, couch and more. Amenities may vary from one park to another so check before booking at www.sepaq.com.

Right now Nature Cabins are in 4 parks and more are sure to come in the following years:
  • Yamaska (40 minutes south of Montreal): Cabins are accessible by foot, ski or snowshoe (500 meters).
  • Mont-Orford (1 h 30 south of Montreal): Cabins are accessible by car.
  • Mont-Tremblant (1 h 30 north of Montreal): Cabins are accessible by car in the summer and by foot, ski or snowshoe in the winter (100 meters).
  • Monts-Valin (4 hours from Montreal, 2 hours from Quebec City): Cabins are accessible by tracked vehicle and luggage is carried in by a snowmobile. They are located in Baie d’Alexis sector, a new development inside the park.
