For a twist on Holiday shopping, there’s the Lowe’s Toronto Christmas Market takes place November 30 through December 16, 2012 at the Distillery Historic District. This is a free event for people of all ages, cultures and faiths, celebrating the romance and magic of a traditional European Christmas market.

The market showcases hundreds of unique and local handcrafted products. There’s also a 45 ft Christmas tree and magical lighting and seasonal décor. In addition there is family fun and lots of activities. The South Pole attractions including a ferris wheel, merry-go-round, train rides and pony rides. Santa’s Lane is a fairy tale forest maze for the children with Santa's house, Children's story telling, Santa's Elves Workshop, Grimm's Brother Characters and a gingerbread house. Winterfest at The Harbourfront Centre is another great venue to get you in the Holiday mood where there is free skating seven days a week on the city's winter gem by the lake!
